Migration grief is part of the journey...so is the light.

Healing beyond borders

Migration is a brave step, but what comes after can be complex. You may find yourself grieving the many losses that come with leaving home: family, friends, culture, etc. This experience, known as migration grief, can make the journey of adaptation more challenging.

But remember, you are not alone.

Our mission is to support and empower you with knowledge, understanding and practical tools to navigate your grief and help you feel more at home in your new life.

This project has been a powerful journey of self-discovery. It helped me understand what I’ve been through, especially the emotions and challenges I couldn’t fully name before. I'm moving forward with more clarity, courage and confidence.

“The choices we make every day leave a trace – like footprints in the sand. Here, we train ourselves to be the best version of ourselves in times of uncertainty and change. We develop a sense of closeness to those around us, strengthen our ability to find meaning even in difficult times, and move forward with hope for a sense of belonging, inner peace and light in our path.”

- Marina Grancharova

“This project helps us better understand the challenges and impacts of the migration process, giving meaning to feelings and situations that we often cannot identify or understand the origins of them. It addresses the concept of migration grief, which is still little known but experienced by many people, and provides ways to cope with it more easily.”
