Hello,
If you’re reading this, it means five years have passed. The first thing I want to ask is: How are you?
Have we started the business we’d been dreaming of, or are we still looking for excuses to put it off? I really hope you’ve taken that first step and turned our idea into reality. It doesn’t have to be a huge success — the important thing is that you’ve got started. I know we’re capable of doing it. After all, we’ve already overcome so much.
I also hope you’re doing well. After all the journeys, changes and challenges we’ve faced, I hope every effort we’ve made has been worth it. More than anything, I hope you’ve found peace and happiness.
I hope our parents, family and loved ones are well and doing fine. If life has thrown difficult moments your way, I’m sure you’ve found the strength to face them. We always have.
I hope you haven’t lost your sense of humour.
I also wonder about our personal lives. Have things changed with our partners? I hope we’ve become more mature, more understanding, more patient and more successful. I hope we’ve learnt that every meaningful relationship is built on compromise, trust and mutual support.
Don’t forget why you chose Sofia as your home. Remember how much you wanted to belong to this city. I hope that today you truly feel that you are exactly where you belong.
I know you’ve done well. But I also know that, no matter how successful you become, there will always be moments of doubt and anxiety. If they’re still there, remember that they were already part of you when I wrote this letter. Don’t let them define your life.
When you read these words, I hope you’re sitting in a beautiful office. I hope you’ve overcome the challenges that came with all the changes and our move. I hope you’re doing meaningful work, making a real impact, and taking pride in what you’ve built.
Most importantly, I hope you haven’t lost sight of who you are. I hope you’ve remained a good person. Curious. Brave. I hope you’re still dreaming of great things and continuing to pursue new goals, because that’s what’s always driven us forward.
And if life hasn’t turned out exactly as you imagined, don’t be disappointed. Look back and remember where you started. If you’re still moving forward, you’ve already succeeded.
Look after the people you love. Look after yourself. And never stop believing that the best is yet to come.
